It is with great pleasure that we welcome you to the Department of Materials Science & Engineering at University of Moratuwa. We are the sole academic establishment in Sri Lanka, which disseminates knowledge in materials science and engineering. With a rich history spanning more than 40 years in academic excellence, we are proud to represent the University of Moratuwa at Exmo-2017.

Our vision is to provide undergraduates and post-graduates level academia to acquire specialized knowledge in engineering materials with close regards to economic and environmental aspects. As the sole authority in Sri Lanka in Materials Engineering, we work closely with the public and private sectors, supporting them in their endeavors to achieve economic and productivity enhancement in their respective fields.

We look forward in earnest to our participation in Exmo-2017. We hope to enlighten you on the strides that we have made in the development of Materials Engineering technology in Sri Lanka. Furthermore you would be able to receive firsthand knowledge on the patented inventions that our students have developed over the course of past few years.
